“I SPEAK TO YOU CONTINUALLY. My nature is to communicate, though not always in words. I fling glorious sunsets across the sky, day after day after day. I speak in the faces and voices of loved ones. I caress you with a gentle breeze that refreshes and delights you. I speak softly in the depths of your spirit, where I have taken up residence.”
This was the beginning of my devotion for today. I highly recommend Jesus Calling devo. It’s wonderful. That aside, I love this paragraph. In all things, great or small, loud or quiet, He is in them all. God has formed each of us and fashioned us in His perfection. If we will only have the eyes to see and ears to hear, we will find He is speaking to us in the moments of everyday life. The sunrise, the wind, the refreshing rain, the smile of a stranger, the hug of a loved one, the thunder and lightning, the sunset, the stars the flowers are all testifying to His greatness and presence.
Go ahead, take a moment right now. If you are at work, walk to a window. If you are at home, go hug your spouse or child. If you are fortunate enough to be on vacation, take in the view! And then. Raise your hands high to the heavens and tell God, “Thank You!”
